Rose & Dragon

A very multilayered perfume story: literally and conceptually. The perfume extrait is made of various roses: Bulgarian rose essence and the sweeter and darker Turkish rose absolute. These roses are then layered onto the spicy leather theme of labdanum, castoreum and saffron. As to the concept, the legend or a brave hero saving the princess from a beast has many versions: from Adromeda and Perseus to George the dragon slayer. In tthe knight vs. dragon version, the blood of the defeated beast turns into a beautiful rose bush. And it was actually the medieval knights who introduced roses into Europe (bringing the plant back from the Cruisades). Another dimension of the Rose & Dragon is geographical: perfumers intentionally used materials from the Meditteranean to connect the myth, the land and history of rose in Europe. Rose & Dragon is a great perfume story from any dimension: materials, style, history and romantic myth charm.
